Preheating Method
- Preliminary Preheating: Begin by preheating the crucible without adding material. Aim for a temperature of about 200°C within 30 menit, followed by a drying period of 60 menit. This process evaporates surface moisture, preventing the crucible from bursting due to residual moisture.
- Rapid Heating: After initial preheating, raise the crucible’s temperature to 900°C (or 1000°C) as quickly as possible, maintaining it for 20-30 menit. This helps the crucible swiftly pass through oxidation-prone temperature zones, minimizing damage.
- Restoration Temperature: Once rapid heating is complete, restore the induction furnace to the necessary temperature for metal smelting, preparing for the smelting operation.
Precautions
- Inspection and Maintenance:
- Inspect the crucible’s bottom and inner walls for dents and cracks; repair as necessary.
- Check the furnace top, nozzle, and cover for looseness, tightening as needed.
- Ensure the induction coil is clean and free from debris.
- Inspect connecting bolts for tightness; repair if loose.
- Verify the water cooling circulation system for unobstructed supply and leaks, focusing on the water cooling cable.
- Operation Specifications:
- Follow strict operating procedures during preheating and smelting to ensure safety.
- Avoid overloading the equipment; do not exceed the rated power.
- Minimize frequent starts and stops to reduce wear.
- Avoid touching equipment surfaces to prevent burns.
- Regularly check equipment status; halt operations if abnormalities are detected.
- Melting Preparation:
- Ensure the charge is dry and free from moisture, ice, or snow to prevent explosions.
- Do not mix the charge with closed containers or other explosive materials.
- Load the charge gently to avoid damaging the furnace.
- Tindakan Keamanan:
- Operators must wear safety gear, including protective glasses, earplugs, sarung tangan, and clothing.
- Ensure proper grounding of the equipment to prevent leakage.
- Stay alert; avoid alcohol and drugs during operations.
- In emergencies, such as equipment failure or leaks, shut down the machine immediately and follow emergency protocols.
By adhering to these preheating methods and precautions, you can ensure the induction furnace operates safely and efficiently, ultimately extending its service life.
